Mother Kawsar Yusuf Nur, and her experience with the Productive social Safety Net Programme, as well as other social protection programmes helping families thrive in the drought stricken region of Somali, Ethiopia. This video premiered at the National Social Protection Conference (ESPC2019) in Ethiopia.

UNICEF includes families with malnourished children into the PSNP to address transitory needs during the recurrent drought. It also provides countrywide support to strengthening the service linkages component of the PSNP and ensures that Pregnant and Lactating women can access essential health and nutrition services. Health Extension workers plays significant roles to ensure this access to these services. Through UNICEF support to PSNP, clients are enabled to access health and nutrition services, and children are enabled to enroll and attend school.
